MED64 Mobius software is a data acquisition and analysis package for the MED64 system with an abundant set of analysis functions available both online and offline. It is designed to be easy for beginners and powerful for advanced users. Mobius comes in various packages including “Evoked Potential Measurements” and “Spike Sorting” as well as a combined package.
Mobius is flexible software consisting of
various task-specific control panels which users can quickly
combine using a simple workflow editor to create their own
custom experimental protocols and interfaces. However, users
who want to run standard types of experiments can do so
immediately by using one of the many pre-defined “workflow
templates” included with Mobius.

EP (Evoked Potential) Measurement Package
*It allows MED64 users to record evoked responses from all 64 channels while providing on-line and later off-line analysis of selected channels.
*Various types of amplitude, slope and area can be measured independently on each channel. Up to 10 types of measurements can be selected for each channel.

fEPSP from rat hippocampal slice. Amplitude minimum (red), Slope Regression (blue), and Peak to peak amplitude of Fiber volley (yellow) are measured
Available Analysis Protocols
*Amplitude Minimum
*Amplitude Maximum
*Amplitude Peak to Peak
*Area Pop Spike
*Slope Regression
*Slope (10-90%, 10-40%)
*Channels for on-line analysis can be changed during the experiment.
*Number of channels for on-line analysis can be increased.
*All on-line and offline measures can be obtained for the first and second pulse in a Paired-pulse paradigm.
*Averages and standard deviations for all EP measurements on all 64 channels are computed are compared by each phase. (ex: Before and after drug, Baseline and LTP)
*It allows users to program sophisticated stimulation sequences independently per stimulator.
*It includes a real time 64 channel oscilloscopes.
*The Row data can be export by Binary or ASCII
*The chars can be export by
ASCII.

Slope 10-90% (red) and Amplitude Minimum (blue) are measured at channel 29, while Area pop spike (red), Minimum amplitude of sop spike (blue) and Maximum amplitude of fEPSP (yellow) are measured at channel 22.

Spike Sorter Package
*Spikes are collected, extracted and sorted on 64 channels on-line and off-line.
*Time chart of spike frequency is shown and exported to a CSV file.
*Time stamp and extracted spikes are exported to a CSV file.
*”Time stamp only”, “Time stamp and extracted spikes”, and “Spike frequency” can be saved without the raw data saved.
*Raw data are exported to CSV files.
*It includes a real-time 64 channel oscilloscope.
*Filtering is available with an option of “Filtering package” module.

Filtering Module
*Various filtering function enables highly sophisticated analysis:
*”DC Remove” removes slow-wave from the collected data, which enables more accurate spike sorting.
*By “Smoothing”, the spiky signals can be removed, which enables measuring the amplitude or slope of evoked responses.
Available filters
*DC Remove
*High & Low pass
*Smoothing
*Down sampling
