Electrophysiology

The MED64 multi-electrode array (MEA) system, based on planar micro-electrode array technology, will enable you to easily stimulate and record field potentials (extracellular signals) from different areas within a biological sample over days, weeks and even months without pulling electrodes! Biological acute or cultured preparations are placed directly onto the 64 planar microelectrodes patterned on the MED probe. The MED64 system is a complete, fully integrated solution for in vitro electrophysiology including four components: an integrated amplifier, MED probe, connector, and Mobius software for data acquisition and analysis. The technology unique to the MED64 system is the low-impedance planar microelectrode, which enables low-noise recordings. The MED64 system is used for electrophysiological studies of the central nervous system (CNS), as well as myocardial, or any other excitable tissue.
